Through this strategic partnership, we combine complementary expertise and capabilities to advance innovative immunotherapies for patients living with multiple myeloma.\nLegend Biotech is seeking an FFBA Analytical Development Intern as part of the Technical Development team based in Somerset, NJ.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Intern to join Functional, Flow Cytometry and BioAnalytics team within our empowered Analytical Development organization. The intern will focus on establishing procedures for sample ascension and work closely with scientists to facilitate data collection for in house testing. The intern will assist in laboratory testing, collaborate on data analysis and documentation, and observe both routine and development-focused testing. The intern will also perform routine laboratory activites, including inventory maintenance, cell culture, and assist in basic testing. \nKey Responsibilities\nCollaborate with scientists to identify pain points in the electronic sample ascension process.\nDevelop and draft procedures to streamline and organize sample data and test reporting.\nObserve and assist routine testing of non-critical samples.\nPerform routine laboratory activities, like equipment calibration, cleaning, and general laboratory upkeep.\nAssist in the creation of accurate Electronic Laboratory Notebook entries and LIMS sample templates.\nThis is a closely mentored role, and most decisions about planning and execution will require collaboration, consensus and alignment with senior scientists.\nRequirements\nA rising Senior university student matriculating towards a degree in biology, biochemistry, chemical or bio engineering, immunology, molecular biology or related field, or graduate student perusing an MS in biology, biochemistry, chemical or bio engineering, immunology, molecular biology or related field.\nLaboratory experience commensurate with coursework completed.\nExperience as a researcher in an academic laboratory is preferred.\nKnowledge of BSL2 best practices and handling biohazardous materials.\nCandidate must have completed coursework such as Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Organic Chemistry, or other upper level biology, immunology or chemical biology curriculum.\nMicrosoft office suite.\nGraphPad Prism, other data analysis tools (PowerBI, JMP, R).\nStrong written and verbal English skills are required.\nPlease note: These benefits are offered exclusively to permanent full-time employees.
