Legend Biotech is seeking a Lab Support Specialist as part of the Information Technology team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

The Lab Support Specialist will assist in the operation of laboratory IT capabilities and R&D systems. This individual’s responsibilities will include supporting, and in some cases coordinating, the end-to-end process of onboarding an instrument system into a laboratory, from procuring the computer according to vendor specifications, connecting it to the network, configuring the instrumentwiththevendor,conductingriskassessments,andqualifyingthesystemaccordingtoGxPprocedureswhereapplicable.Inaddition,theidealcandidatewillprovideoperationalsupportforexistinglaboratorycomputingdevicesandscientificapplications.

Key Responsibilities

• Thecriticalnatureofthesesystemsrequiresappropriatesupporttoensureahighlystable,secure,andreliablecomputingenvironment.
• ThisrolewillprovidesupportandsystemsmanagementforthelaboratorycomputingenvironmentinaccordancewithITpoliciesandprocedures.
• Adherence to standard operatingprocedures,timelyexecutionofwork,andcollaborationwithscientists,ITcolleagues,andvendorsareessentialtomaximizeproductivityforbenchscientistsandensuretheintegrityofboththelaboratorydatacollectedandthesystemsusedtocollectthatdata.
• Collaboratewithscientists,vendors,andITcolleaguesonnewsystemsimplementation,integration,andadministration.
• Participateintheinstallation,documentation,andtestingofinstrumentsystems.
• Assist with the implementation of new capabilities and upgrades to existing computer systems utilized in the laboratory, including instrument software, operating systems, computer hardware, and additionalPCaccessories.
• Aidintroubleshootingandprovidetechnicalsupportforinstrumentsoftwareinstalledonlaboratorycomputers,aswellasconnectivitybetweencomputersandinstruments.
• Aidintroubleshootingandprovidetechnicalsupportforvariouslaboratoryequipment,includingfirmwareandnetworkconnectivitywhereapplicable.
• Provisionuseraccountsonstandaloneandnetwork-connectedlaboratoryequipmentandinstruments.
• ProvisionuseraccountsforscientificsoftwaresuchasFlowJo,Zageno,SnapGene,journalsubscriptions,andotherrelatedapplications.
• ProvidesupportforcomputerequipmentandperipheralswithinGMPsuiteswhilefollowingGradeBgowningandcleaningprotocols.
• Contributetothedevelopmentofstandardoperatingprocedures(SOPs)andworkinstructionsforthearea.
• AssistincompletingnecessaryriskassessmentsandqualificationprotocolstosupporttheGxPapplicabilityofinstrumentsystemswhereapplicable.
• Coordinatewithengineering,facilities,andqualityteamstoensurethetimelyinstallation,commissioning,andqualificationoflaboratoryinstrumentsandITsystems.
• Track,document,andupdateincidentsandservicerequestsaccuratelywithintheITServiceManagement(ITSM)system.
• Assistinupdatingandmaintainingknowledgebasearticles.

Requirements

• BSdegreewith2yearsofexperienceinthebiotechnologyorpharmaceuticalindustry.
• Understandingoflaboratorysciencewithinthelifesciencesindustry,preferablyinthecelltherapyspace.
• UnderstandingofGxPsoftwareadministrationandconfiguration.
• UnderstandingofWindows-basedoperatingsystems.
• Experienceinstalling,configuring,andsupportingsystemsandapplicationsinlaboratoryenvironments.
• Experiencewithdirectcustomeranduserinteraction,includingtraining.
• Demonstratedunderstandingoftheneedforstandards,alongwithawillingnesstoprovideinputforimprovingstrategiesthatsupportthelaboratorycomputingenvironment.
• Experiencesupportingstandaloneorenterprisecomputerizedsystemsandapplications.

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.

Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

Pay Range (Base Pay):

$78,251—$102,705 USD

Please note: These benefits are offered exclusively to permanent full-time employees. Contractors are not eligible for benefits through Legend Biotech.
