Through this strategic partnership, we combine complementary expertise and capabilities to advance innovative immunotherapies for patients living with multiple myeloma.\nLegend Biotech is seeking a Senior Engineer as part of the Facilities & Engineering team based in Raritan, NJ.\nRole Overview\nLegend Biotech is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership for facilities, utilities, and commercial cell therapy manufacturing process equipment, and technical support of capital projects and manufacturing investigations. The role partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Facilities, Supply Chain, Automation, and Maintenance organizations to ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient operation of critical process equipment and plant systems while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide engineering ownership and lifecycle management for GMP facilities, utilities, and cell therapy manufacturing process equipment.\nLead troubleshooting, root cause investigations, deviation support, CAPAs, and change controls for manufacturing equipment and support systems.\nIdentify, lead, and deliver Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) reduction and Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives.\nDevelop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.\nSupport commissioning, qualification, validation, startup, and turnover activities.\nMonitor system performance and identify improvement opportunities.\nAuthor and review SOPs, technical reports, and specifications.\nLead cross-functional projects and manage contractors and vendors.\nEnsure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport audits and inspections.\nMentor junior engineers.\nRequirements\nBS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline; MS preferred.\nMinimum 7+ years of engineering, facilities, maintenance, or operations experience in a GMP-regulated environment.\nExperience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or cell therapy manufacturing preferred.\nExperience leading equipment and utility projects from concept through implementation.\nKnowledge of commissioning, qualification, validation, change control, and deviation management processes.\nStrong project management and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.\nProven Lean/TPS implementation experience and Operational Excellence leadership experience preferred.\nThe base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting.
