The Legends Global Way guides how we operate: Align, Scale, Connect, Team, Win - shared success, repeatable systems, connected solutions, unstoppable teams, and wins that are earned every day.\nAbout the Role\nThe Accounting Clerk will perform entry-level accounting work assisting in general accounting, bookkeeping, or cashiering functions.\nABOUT MESA CONVENTION CENTER\nLocated in downtown Mesa, Arizona, Mesa Convention Center is the largest event venue in the East Valley. The venue features nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, 26 breakout rooms, 40,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an outdoor amphitheater with capacity for up to 5,000 guests. From conferences and trade shows to community gatherings, festivals, and live entertainment, Mesa Convention Center provides a versatile setting for memorable events and experiences.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)\nMaintains petty cash, receipt records, and check release register.\nAudits receipts and disbursements to ensure accuracy for public shows and resolves credit card charge backs.\nCompletes assigned sections of the monthly close by the specified deadline.\nAssists in the preparation of financial statements and prepares monthly reconciliation of agency fund cash accounts and select operating duties.\nMaintains files and performs a variety of minor bookkeeping and cashiering duties.\nResponsible for credit card reconciliations and cash receipts.\nAssists in the preparation of public show statements and city amusement tax returns.\nAssists in the maintenance of agency funds on the mainframe computer.\nCommunicates with Director of Finance regarding status of projects, workload and concerns in the department daily.\nAssist in the preparation of audit schedules.\nPrepares daily cash reports on a timely basis.\nInputs journal entries to the financial reporting computer system.\nPerforms all other job duties as assigned.\nWHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)\nEducation and/or Experience\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.\nMinimum of one (1) year experience in accounting.\nSkills and Abilities\nProficient in MS Word and Excel. Experience with EBMS and Solomon is preferred.\nKnowledge of the principles and practices of accounting.\nAbility to make original or adjusting entries to analyze financial transactions.\nAbility to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL\nThis role is based on site in Mesa, AZ\nYou may be required to work a non traditional schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays\nAt Legends Global, our people power every success.
