Salary Range: 100,000 - 130,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & General Accounting

  • Assist the Director of Accounting with the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports for the Client and Legends Global Corporate, including monthly financial statements, annual budgets, forecasts, food and beverage reports, month-end inventory, annual reports, and other required financial reporting.

  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and credibility of the general ledger by monitoring account activity, reviewing trial balances, and performing or overseeing monthly reconciliations of key accounts.

  • Direct and maintain accounting records reflecting receipts, expenditures, assets, liabilities, revenues, and operating expenses.

  • Oversee the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost accounting, property accounting, operating expenses, and related financial records.

  • Oversee bank reconciliations for multiple accounts supporting facility and food and beverage operations.

  • Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs, revenues, and financial performance.

  • Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial close processes.

Financial Analysis & Business Support

  • Analyze financial performance, departmental expenses, operating results, and cost trends and recommend appropriate actions to support financial and operational objectives.

  • Monitor and project daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow, as appropriate.

  • Coordinate the year-end reporting of fiscal performance for inclusion in the General Manager’s reporting.

  • Provide financial information and analysis to management to support operational planning and informed business decisions.

Event Settlements & Cash Management

  • Review and/or prepare event settlements, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Review and/or prepare box office artist and promoter settlements.

  • Review and execute checks and deposits in accordance with established internal controls and authorization requirements.

  • Review daily cash receipts and disbursements and investigate discrepancies as appropriate.

  • Maintain appropriate financial controls related to event activity, cash handling, deposits, and settlement processes.

Payroll & Union Reporting

  • Oversee the Payroll Specialist and support accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing, including preparation and review of associated journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Coordinate and prepare all aspects of payroll for employees in compliance with applicable federal and state wage and hour requirements, Legends Global policies, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

  • Verify the completion of required new-hire payroll documentation and identification and ensure accurate employee setup within ADP, ABI, and other applicable systems.

  • Ensure accurate calculation, withholding, reporting, and remittance of union-related payroll deductions and payments.

  • Complete required payroll, union, labor, and related departmental reporting.

  • Review benefit-related payroll deductions and reconciliations and coordinate with Human Resources and/or applicable departments to resolve discrepancies.

  • Support unemployment-related payroll and wage information requests, as appropriate.

  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriate controls over payroll and employee financial information.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

  • Direct or support internal audits involving the review of accounting procedures, financial processes, and administrative controls.

  • Coordinate the preparation of financial information and supporting documentation for Client, corporate, and external audits and assist with the implementation of approved audit recommendations.

  • Monitor financial and accounting compliance with applicable provisions of the management agreement.

  • Prepare and remit applicable Sales & Use Tax reports accurately and within established deadlines.

  • Maintain appropriate accounting documentation and internal controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Maintain communication with Legends Global’s Risk Management department and insurance broker regarding financial information and documentation necessary to support appropriate insurance coverage and risk-management activities.

Systems, Procedures & Controls

  • Direct or support the implementation and maintenance of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related financial procedures and internal controls.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, reporting accuracy, internal controls, operational efficiency, and accountability.

  • Ensure accounting records and supporting documentation are maintained in accordance with company record-retention requirements.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide day-to-day oversight, guidance, and support to assigned accounting and payroll personnel.

  • Collaborate with department leaders, Human Resources, corporate departments, union representatives, and other stakeholders regarding accounting, payroll, labor, and financial matters.

  • Promote accuracy, accountability, confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement throughout accounting operations.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
