The Accounting Manager performs daily activities of the accounting function at the facility by performing the following duties:\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nAssists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and ASM policies and procedures.\nPrepares and performs or assists with event settlements and balance sheet reconciliation monthly.\nBi-weekly payroll processing\nAssists with the preparation of all financial reporting, including: \nAssists with preparation of financial statements for the Client and ASM Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget, and Annual Report.\nDirect the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.\nMaintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.\nVerifies and checks the accuracy of general ledger coding.\nPrepares and analyzes information for financial statements and reports.\nAssist in preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Works with auditors in verifying financial information/procedures.\nAssist in managing and scheduling for the parking and vault clerks.\nResponsible for maintaining monthly vault audits and deposit activities for both the Shreveport Convention Center and Municipal Auditorium.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nEstablishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.\nAssists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.\nSupervisory Responsibilities: None\nQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
