This service-focused technical professional evaluates event requirements; configures, operates, and maintains audiovisual systems; and delivers timely technical support before, during, and after events while working effectively both independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities, and remaining composed and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nConsult with clients and internal stakeholders to assess event requirements and determine the appropriate audiovisual systems, equipment, and configurations.\nAttend event-planning meetings to review timelines, technical requirements, and audiovisual needs.\nDocument and maintain accurate audiovisual requirements and technical specifications for each event.\nSet up, test, operate, and break down audiovisual equipment safely, accurately, and within established timelines.\nSupport small- to large-scale meetings and events, including on-site and hybrid video streaming, camera configuration, video switching, audio mixing, and virtual-platform support.\nRecord and edit event video content as assigned.\nConduct pre-event and in-event walkthroughs to ensure audiovisual systems are operational and performing as expected.\nMonitor event technology and respond promptly to client requests, equipment failures, and other technical issues.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot audiovisual software, firmware, hardware, videoconferencing equipment, and related system failures.\nReplace defective equipment and components before, during, or after events to minimize service disruptions.\nTrack client-support requests, system failures, resolutions, and required follow-up.\nEscalate complex or unresolved technical issues to advanced support teams, leadership, or external vendors, as appropriate.\nMaintain audiovisual equipment, systems, and related components in reliable operating condition.\nProvide Level 1 and Level 2 support for point-of-sale systems, escalating issues when necessary.\nAssist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrading, and troubleshooting of venue computers, printers, point-of-sale systems, and related equipment.\nCollaborate with IT team members, particularly Service Desk personnel, to resolve assigned tickets and technical issues.\nMaintain current knowledge of venue systems, applicable technologies, organizational operations, and established standards and practices.\nProtect confidential client, Company, and technical information.\nSupport sister properties and other locations as operationally necessary.\nFollow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; complete required Company-wide and job-specific safety training; and consistently practice safe work habits.\nPerform other duties as assigned by leadership.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nNone\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nAssociate degree in audiovisual technology, information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.\nMinimum of two years of professional experience supporting audiovisual systems, live events, videoconferencing, or related technical operations.\nExperience with Active Directory and point-of-sale systems, preferably Oracle MICROS, is preferred.\nExperience supporting computers, networking equipment, peripherals, wireless microphones, push-to-talk systems, multichannel audio mixers, broadcast cameras, and video switchers.\nCrestron certification is preferred.\nBiamp/Tesira certification is preferred.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft applications and operating systems.\nDemonstrated ability to configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain audiovisual and related technical equipment.\nStrong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to quickly learn and independently support new technologies.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.\nStrong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with clients, colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and prioritize responsibilities based on operational urgency and event requirements.\nAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and consistently follow through on responsibilities.\nAbility to collaborate effectively within a team environment.\nAbility to manage confidential client and Company information with discretion.\nAbility to remain composed, responsive, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on operational needs.\nCOMPENSATION\n$25/hour + a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nLocation: On-site (Well& by Durst - 151, New York City)\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
