Join us!\nTHE ROLE\nThe purpose of the Banquet Supervisor is to set, maintain, clean, and refresh all meeting and special event spaces within the Central Park Boathouse. The supervisor will oversee the set up and operations of the team. In addition, this position will also be responsible for organizing all storage areas and maintain end of month inventory reports for banquet equipment and supplies.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nWork with Banquet Manager and Housemen to set up private function areas with appropriate equipment and materials including tables, chairs, linens, and any other items requested.\nKey attention to detail with properly setting event spaces according to management standards and floor plans.\nKnowledge of banquet stations set up and types of equipment required as per SOPs.\nOversee the tear down event spaces with housemen and Banquet Manager to include stripping rooms of furniture and resetting the room per specifications outlined on the banquet event order.\nInspect banquet equipment for defects, cleanliness, and any other maintenance required.\nMonitor event spaces for cleanliness as well as F&B replenishing needs. This includes and not limited to changing soiled linens and properly straighten chairs and firing of F&B for stations.\nMaintain proper care by following safety guidelines during movement and storage of equipment.\nContinuously keep service corridors, pre-function space and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed.\nResponsible to maintain and assist Banquet Manager with updates on monthly inventory reports for all banquet equipment and supplies.\nSupport house team members during special events to include, monitoring food service, and beverage service including water drops, coffee service and ice deliveries. Making sure tables and space are free of garbage, dirty wares and clean napkins.\nAssist during special event operations assigned. This includes and not limited to assisting wait staff and operations with service that meets the highest standards of customer satisfaction.\nMaintain and organize banquets storage areas as well as create signage and labels for specific food stations based on upcoming BEOs.\nResponsible for keeping assigned work area clean.\nSupervise train and motivate banquets operations staff. Support Banquet Manager with after event feedback for post Event Recap.\nAssistance in overseeing/operating Coat Check if needed.\nExpectation to pull liquor req sheets and to return unused product to the shelf.\nExpectations to assist with buffet layout & dry setting.\nDuties performed in both indoor and outdoor settings with events taking place in the elements of all four seasons. Events may often include variable noise levels.\nPractice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and general compliance training. \nMaintain a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management. \nAdheres to the Legends Global and venue company policies. \nComplete other duties assigned by management.\nAvailable to work non-traditional hours (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nStrong attention to detail. \nAble to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes.\nAbility to be self-motivated and work independently and work well as a team player.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nMinimum of (2) years of banquets set up experience in large/high volume venue.\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nFamiliarity with wine service and liquor brands preferred.\nAbility to lift 50lbs, as well as bend, stretch, push and pull objects with support equipment.\nAble to work non-traditional shifts to include extended hours and flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, days, nights and holidays.\nAbility to stand/walk throughout shift.\nMust be able to work well in high pressure situations and remain flexible during last minute additions or changes.\nMust possess good communication skills both verbal and written.\nFamiliar with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel with ability to learn applicable databases and systems.\nBilingual in Spanish is a Plus.\nFollow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.\nReport all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to you.\nCOMPENSATION: $33 per hour, commensurate with experience.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nLocation: Central Park Boathouse\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
