Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Barclays Center’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nPlans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes. \nEnsures that wiring and fixtures conform to company specifications and local electrical codes. \nEnsures OSHA compliance on all electrical work. \nStudies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. \nInterprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. \nInterprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. \nEstablishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. \nRecommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. \nSuggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. \nAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. \nInitiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. \nMaintains time and production records. \nEstimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. \nConfers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. \nSets up machines and equipment. \nPerforms activities of workers supervised. \nCANDIDATE PROFILE: Who You Are\nTrade school degree minimum: college degree preferred \n5 years’ experience in electrical \nOr equivalent combination of education and experience \nMaster Electrician or Special Electrician License Required \nKEY COMPETENCIES: Skills You Possess\nKnowledge of national electrical codes \nKnowledge of OSHA regulations \nExcellent organization skills \nAbility to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously \nStrong problem-solving skills required \nGood written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management \nAbility to effectively supervise staff \nStrong customer service skills \nProfessional presentation, appearance, and work ethic \nSome knowledge of computers \nBarclays Center/Legends Global reserves the right to change or modify the employee's job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship.
