JOB SUMMARY: The Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service while creating outstanding guest experience in premium clubs, suites, lounges, and other designated hospitality areas. This position serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, assists with food service, and ensures guests receive attentive, knowledgeable, and professional service throughout each event.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality by providing friendly, timely, and professional service to all guests.

  • Take and accurately process beverage orders while verifying guest identification in accordance with alcohol service laws.

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following company recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of cocktail menus, wine selections, beer offerings, spirits, and food menus in order to answer guest questions and make recommendations.

  • Monitor guest beverage consumption and practice responsible alcohol service at all times.

  • Work collaboratively with bartenders, runners, suite attendants, culinary staff, cashiers, and supervisors to ensure efficient service.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas before, during, and after events.

  • Complete opening, closing, and side work assignments, including stocking service stations, polishing glassware, replenishing supplies, and cleaning work areas.

  • Anticipate guest needs and promptly resolve service concerns while escalating issues to management when appropriate.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and safety regulations.

  • Maintain compliance with company cash handling, PCI, and responsible beverage service policies.

  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, inventory, and restocking as assigned.

  • Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance in accordance with company uniform standards.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • All other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (or minimum legal age required by state and local regulations to serve alcohol).

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience serving in a fast-paced, upscale restaurant, lounge, club, hotel, stadium, or hospitality environment preferred.

  • Previous cocktail serving experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Mixology fundamentals

    • Wine, beer, and spirits

    • Responsible alcohol service

    • Food and beverage pairing

    • Guest service etiquette

  • Current TABC Certification (or ability to obtain before first scheduled shift).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional while working under pressure.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
