The venue features nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, 26 breakout rooms, 40,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an outdoor amphitheater with capacity for up to 5,000 guests. From conferences and trade shows to community gatherings, festivals, and live entertainment, Mesa Convention Center provides a versatile setting for memorable events and experiences.\nAbout the Role\nThe Concessions Manager is responsible for leading all food and beverage concession operations at Mesa Convention Center, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance. This role oversees concession staff, inventory management, product quality, purchasing, and event-day execution while maintaining cost controls and profitability goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, strong business acumen, and the ability to develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced event environment.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)\nSupervises the concessions employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as clean-up\nAssists in the training of concessions employees engaged in the preparing and cooking foods to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.\nPurchases refreshments, according to anticipated demand and familiarity with public taste in food and beverages.\nDirects storage, preparation, and serving of refreshments by other workers at refreshment stand or circulating throughout audience.\nAssigns concessions workers to locations.\nTabulates receipts and balances accounts.\nInventories supplies on hand at end of each day or other designated period.\nWorks within guidelines for food and labor costs. \nWHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)\nEducation and/or Experience\nBachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university\n1 to 2 years related experience and/or training\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience\nPrevious management experience in a similar venue\nSkills and Abilities\nDemonstrated ability to control costs, generate increased revenue and manage accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting \nStrong written, verbal and interpersonal skills\nAbility to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment\nAbility to train workers in preparation and cooking of foods to ensure high quality, efficient and profitable food service.\nAbility to manage several direct reports\nKnowledge of computers. \nWORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL\nThis role is based on site in Mesa, AZ\nYou may be required to work a non traditional schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays\nAt Legends Global, our people power every success.
