Other duties may be assigned.\nAssists in the development and implementation of company goals and priorities relating to financial management, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, general accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and Legends Global policies and procedures\nMonitors Legends Global compliance with all provisions of the company’s management contract\nManage internal controls, risk management and financial systems to improve accuracy and prevent fraud.\nMaintains contact with Legends Global risk management department and insurance broker for coordination of appropriate coverages\nReviews contracts for client, events, subcontractors, food and beverage or concessionaires\nReviews and/or prepares event settlements for all customers/events\nReviews and executes checks, and deposits; reviews daily cash receipts and disbursements\nMonitors and projects daily cash flow; invests excess cash as needed\nReviews all purchasing of office supplies and facility supplies\nDevelop and implement all financial reporting for operations according to GAAP, including:Prepare financial statements for the Client and Legends Global Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, annual budgets, and annual reports\nDirect the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures\nDirect the maintenance of general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records\nAnalyze financial performance and cost analyses for all departments; prepares monthly financial statements, recommends appropriate actions/changes to meet business goals\nPrepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues\nAssist with the following tasks related to the facilities:Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls\nCoordinate preparation of Client or external audit materials and financial reporting;Implements recommendations of Client as requested\n\nCoordinates year-end report of fiscal performance for the General Manager's report\nDirects the installation and maintenance of any new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls\nReview financial statements with management personnel\n\nParticipates in union labor contract administration; maintains effective working relationship with union representatives\nActs as Manager on Duty as required\nOther duties and special projects as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nDuring daily facility operations, duties include responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the entire finance department. Directly supervises the entire Finance Department employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, one must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. S. in Accounting from a four-year college or university.\nAt least 4 to 6 years’ experience in public accounting and/or financial management\nSkills and Abilities\nExtensive knowledge of general and cost accounting\nExcellent math skills; high aptitude for figures\nExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational ability\nAbility to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required\nStrong leadership and management skills with managing a team of 4 or more team members\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in a Controller role with full cycle financial reporting responsibilities and finance department oversight.\nComputer Skills\nExtensive knowledge of accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing software\nExperience with ADP or similar payroll systems desirable.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations\nCPA, MBA, or CMA certification strongly preferred\nOther Skills and Abilities\nAbility to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including management\nAbility to work irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays. \nThe ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines\nMust have professional attitude and appearance.\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
