The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment or utensils.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nWash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.\nMaintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.\nPlace clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.\nPrepare and package individual place settings.\nSort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.\nSweep and scrub floors.\nClean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.\nLoad or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies.\nReceive and store supplies.\nTransfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.\nClean garbage cans with water or steam.\nWork extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.\nQualifications\nPossess a High School diploma or GED with (1) year of related experience.\nDemonstrate excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nExhibit a professional attitude and appearance.\nFollow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.\nWork well independently exercising judgment and initiative, as well as in a team environment with a diverse group of people.\nMaintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.\nWork effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.\nMust be able to work unsupervised.\nBe able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.\nBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.\nBe able to work in fast paced kitchen environment.\nBe able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time.\nMust pass background check.\nNON-SLIP SHOES REQUIRED.\nHours of Work and Travel Requirements\nMay require irregular hours including nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as determined by event schedule.\nNOTE: The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
