Ensure that the dish area is setup properly, including dish machine and sinks, in accordance with Legends applicable standards and procedures.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMonitor dish water temperature during sanitized wash cycle and record temperature on log\nWashes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items using dish machines or by hand\nPlaces clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas after they have air-dried\nClean work areas including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking areas\nEnsure that all chemicals for dish machine and 3-compartment sink are kept filled \nKeeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly\nRemove trash from kitchen and transport to dumpster and clean/sanitize all garbage cans \nAssists with accepting delivery items and storage of such items\nTransfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using carts\nOccasionally assist in kitchen prep\nMust adhere to the Legends dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes \nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred\nMust be at least 18 years of age\nFood Handlers Permit Required in accordance with the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nAbility to understand and follow direction\nAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays\nAbility to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicable\nAbility to work in a team\nPositive attitude and neat appearance\nEnglish preferred as primary language, but not required\nWorking Conditions\nWill be in contact with chemical cleaning agents\nHazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds and burns, slipping and tripping\nFrequently immerses hands in water; works frequently in a hot and damp environment\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nAbility to stand and walk for entire length of shift\nAbility to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves\nFrequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting \nPushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops and brooms\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.
