Join us!\nTHE ROLE\nLegends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Manager at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Event Manager is responsible for providing professional client support in the planning, organization, and management of events within the facility. Monitors the coordination of these events, and all event coordination tasks after events are contracted through conclusion. Interacts with clients, facility staff, in-house concessionaires, and related personnel.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nEstablishes and maintains contact with client upon assignment of an event.\nServes as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.\nMaintain rapport with clients, their associates, service suppliers, and building staff insuring the highest level of customer service.\nMeets with and guides clients to plan and organize assigned events and interprets, explains, and implements contract provisions, facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.\nCoordinates activities with various service contractors for assigned events.\nKeeps clients informed as to the status of deadline schedules, including but not limited to floor plan submissions, meeting room set-up specifications, and event timelines.\nSecures/coordinates pertinent event information for the most effective use of the facility including room set-ups, utility requirements, audio-visual needs, appropriate security, and other staffing.\nProduces computer generated floor plans and determines facility equipment requirements.\nProvide clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed event requirements to facility departments on a timely basis.\nPrepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.\nParticipates in weekly production meetings to review upcoming event details with all building departments.\nRequired to work irregular schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate business and client needs in the facility.\nMust have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner. This will include initiating contact with guests within ten feet - i.e., smiling, saying “Good Day,” or helping when needed.\nMust feel comfortable when around large groups or speaking to a guest, as needed.\nUnderstands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of “The Magic is in the Details.”\nAll other assigned duties\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm.
