The venue features nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, 26 breakout rooms, 40,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an outdoor amphitheater with capacity for up to 5,000 guests. From conferences and trade shows to community gatherings, festivals, and live entertainment, Mesa Convention Center provides a versatile setting for memorable events and experiences.\nAbout the Role\nThe Event Services Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients and oversees the successful planning, coordination, and execution of events at Mesa Convention Center. This role partners closely with clients, venue staff, and service providers to deliver exceptional event experiences while managing event logistics, operational planning, staffing, and on-site execution. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, customer-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at balancing multiple events, priorities, and stakeholder relationships.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)\nSupervises staff and oversees all aspects of facility operations related to events.\nMeets with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events.\nCoordinates activities with the various service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events.\nGuides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies, and procedures.\nKeeps clients informed as to status of deadline schedules, including but not limited to floor plan submissions, meeting room set-up specifications, insurance requirements and other relevant details.\nPrepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.\nProvides clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to operational departments.\nAssists in scheduling operational set-ups to provide equipment or service needs.\nMonitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary.\nAssists in training Event Services staff.\nServes as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.\nMonitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events. Follows-up on all client requests, concerns, and problems.\nAttends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations.\nServes as Manager on duty as required.\nWHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)\nEducation and/or Experience\nBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university\nMinimum of two years management level experience coordinating events in a multi-purpose facility which services conventions, exhibits, trade and consumer shows, athletic events, concerts, sales meetings, food, and beverage functions etc. in a Convention Center or Major hotel\nExcellent verbal and written skills needed.\nWorking knowledge of the principles of facility management, services, and equipment for a similar facility\nSkills and Abilities\nExcellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills\nExceptional written and verbal skills\nAbility to prioritize multiple projects.\nDemonstrate problem-solving and communication skills.\nSupervisory experience required.\nProfessional presentation, appearance, and work ethic\nWORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL\nThis role is based on site in Mesa, AZ\nYou may be required to work a non traditional schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays\nAt Legends Global, our people power every success.
