Together, we’reshaping the future of live experiences in the heart of the MotorCity.\nTHE ROLE\nTheEvent Operations Crew Member (Part-Time)supports the preparation and breakdown of event spaces throughout Huntington Place. Under the direction of a Shift Supervisor, this roleis responsible forsetting up meeting rooms, exhibit halls, ballrooms, and other event areas to meet client specifications.\nThis position plays a key role in ensuring events are executed efficiently and according to plan. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nEvent Setup & Breakdown\nSet up and tear down meeting rooms, exhibit halls, ballrooms, and event spaces.\n\nMove and stage equipment, furniture, and other assets for events.\n\nRead and interpret floorplans and blueprints toexecute room layouts accurately.\n\nEquipment Operation & Maintenance\nOperateforklifts, material handling carts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.\n\nEnsure proper use and handling of equipment at all times.\n\nClean andmaintainequipment to ensure operational readiness.\n\nTeam Support & Operations\nUphold departmental and Huntington Place standards, procedures, and policies.\n\nCollaborate with team members to ensure efficient execution of event setups.\n\nPerformadditionalduties asassigned to support operations.\n\nKEY DELIVERABLES\nAccurate andtimelysetup and teardown of event spaces.\n\nSafe and efficient operation of equipment and materials.\n\nClean and well-maintained equipment and workspaces.\n\nStrong teamwork and collaboration during event execution.\n\nAdherence to safety standards and operational procedures.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\nOne (1) or more years of experience as a facility worker or similar role; hospitality or event experience preferred.\n\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and floorplans.\n\nExperience with material handling and power-assisted equipment.\n\nKnowledge of tools, materials, and safety procedures used in facility operations.\n\nStrong attention to detail and spatial awareness.\n\nEffective communication skills including oral, written, and listening abilities.\n\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nCompetitive salary commensuratewith experience, plus:\nMedical, dental, and vision benefits starting day one\n\nPaid vacation, holidays, and sick time\n\n401(k) with company match\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis positionoperateswithin a large convention center environment and requires physical labor and movement throughout the facility.\nPhysical requirements may include:\nStanding, walking, and moving equipment for extended periods\nLifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling event materials and equipment\nOperatingmachinery and working at heights using lifts\nWorking flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY\nHuntington Place / Legends Global is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer, encouraging Women, Minorities, Individuals with Disabilities, and Protected Veterans to apply.
