Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nOversee installation of ice, which includes freezing floor; painting base color, lines and logos; and building -up the ice sheet.\nPrepare ice for all practices, games and other ice events. Duties include removing debris; checking ice depth; scraping, edging and resurfacing ice.\nOperate and maintain the ice re-surfacer and ice-edger.\nRepair and build ice. Must be familiar with techniques for repairing and building ice around hockey goals and other areas that lose ice.\nMaintain glass and dasher walls.\nMonitor temperature and humidity levels.\nMaintain ice and lay water as needed.\nPrepare and cover ice for events that require a regular floorsurface.\nOperate and control some equipment via computers.\nAssist with general employees who assist with installation and maintenance of ice.\nOversee and direct employees who assist with installation and maintenance of ice.\nRespond to visual and audible alarms from building automation and life safety systems.\nAssist the Operationsdepartment withset up and tear down of events\nOperate scrubbingmachine\nRepair equipment such as tables, chairs, and carts.\nAssist Engineering with general facilities maintenance (painting, fixing doors, etc ).\nMaintain RO system\nCoordinate to have Zamboni blades sharpened andpickup/delivery\nInventory parts for equipment and order as needed\nOrder all icepaints and supplies needed to build ice\nWork extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, asneeded.\nAll other duties as assigned\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience\nBachelor's Degree from technical college with major in Management or Maintenance Engineering.\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience in Supervising or Managing in a similar facility.\nAdditional experience may be substituted for education.\nSkills and Abilities\nRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\nPossess any licenses, certificates or training required by local, state or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility.\nUse and properly care for ice equipment, including ice-resurfacer and ice-edger with multiple manual controls, gears and foot pedals.\nDemonstrate knowledge in the practice and procedures related to ice installation, preparation and maintenance; typical methods and techniques for maintaining, repairing and building ice; and treatment of water and hydraulic equipment.\nPossess a thorough understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.\nWork independently, exercising judgment and initiative.\nWork effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.\nFollow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.\nMaintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, and patrons.\nCOMPENSATION\nCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nLocation: On Site in Tucson, AZ\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
