The venue features nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, 26 breakout rooms, 40,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an outdoor amphitheater with capacity for up to 5,000 guests. From conferences and trade shows to community gatherings, festivals, and live entertainment, Mesa Convention Center provides a versatile setting for memorable events and experiences.\nAbout the Role\nThe IT Manager is responsible for leading and supporting the technology infrastructure that powers daily operations and event execution at Mesa Convention Center. This role serves as the primary technology resource for venue staff, overseeing IT systems, network support, software applications, reporting, and end-user training. Working closely with both local and corporate IT teams, the IT Manager drives technology solutions that enhance productivity, improve operational efficiency, and support the delivery of exceptional event experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, service-oriented technology professional who enjoys solving complex problems and enabling organizational success through innovation and collaboration.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)\nSupport IT application needs for all staff.\nDevelopment of protocols for staff technology usage.\nFunction as a liaison with IT Department regarding network support issues.\nFunction as a liaison with Legends Global IT Department regarding corporate applications and systems issues.\nReport creation and writing for business analysis purposes.\nAssistance in development of marketing and business presentation technology-related projects.\nTraining and support for Microsoft Office usage by staff.\nIdentification and implementation of other software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency.\nIdentification and implementation of hardware opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency.\nTroubleshooting of application and network problems.\nAll other duties as assigned \nWHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)\nEducation and/or Experience\nBA degree in Computer Sciences required.\nAt least 2 years of IT support experience.\nSkills and Abilities\nStrong knowledge of business office applications and systems.\nKnowledge of report writing applications, including Crystal Reports, etc.\nMust have communication skills and keen attention to detail.\nAbility to translate non-technical needs communication into technical development capabilities.\nExcellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.\nAbility to undertake and complete multiple tasks.\nKnowledge of wireless technology applications and interface availability.\nWorking knowledge of Palm OS, Windows CE, and Blackberry capabilities and support.\nProficiency in Windows XP support.\nProficiency in Novell network and Windows NT support.\nExtreme proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. \nWORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL\nThis role is based on site in Mesa, AZ\nYou may be required to work a non traditional schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays\nAt Legends Global, our people power every success.
