This role serves as the operational leader of assigned bar locations and is accountable for staff direction, responsible alcohol service compliance, inventory management, cash accountability, and guest satisfaction.\nThe Lead Bartender is expected to manage bar operations and supervise bartending staff rather than routinely serving guests behind the bar. The Lead may provide direct bartending support during periods of high guest demand, staffing shortages, or when directed by venue leadership.\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nLeadership & Team Management\nDirect and oversee the daily operation of assigned bar locations.\nAssign bartenders and support staff to stations based on operational needs.\nProvide leadership, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback.\nTrain team members on company policies, beverage standards, guest service expectations, and responsible alcohol service requirements.\nPromote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism among bar staff.\nServe as the first point of escalation for operational and employee concerns.\nBar Operations\nEnsure bars are properly stocked, organized, and prepared before guest arrival.\nMonitor service speed, beverage quality, and operational efficiency throughout events.\nCoordinate staffing adjustments based on guest demand and event activity.\nEnsure all beverages are prepared and served according to established recipes and standards.\nCommunicate operational issues and product shortages to management.\nSupport event execution and operational objectives established by Food & Beverage leadership.\nAlcohol Compliance\nEnsure compliance with all federal, state, local, and venue alcohol regulations.\nMonitor responsible beverage service practices.\nVerify identification procedures are consistently followed.\nAddress intoxication concerns and service issues according to company policy.\nPromote a safe environment for guests and team members.\nGuest Experience\nEnsure exceptional guest service standards are maintained.\nResolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.\nSupport team members in addressing guest complaints and service recovery situations.\nMonitor guest satisfaction and service quality throughout events.\nInventory & Cash Accountability\nAssist with inventory counts, product monitoring, and replenishment activities.\nVerify proper cash handling and POS procedures are followed.\nSupport opening and closing cash reconciliation processes.\nAssist with product usage tracking and reporting.\nMaintain accountability for assigned operational areas.\nSafety & Sanitation\nEnsure bar areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.\nPromote workplace safety and report safety concerns immediately.\nMonitor compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.\nEnsure employees maintain proper appearance, uniforms, and professional conduct.\nAdditional Duties\nProvide direct bartending support during peak business periods when necessary.\nAssist with beverage operations throughout the venue as directed.\nPerform other duties assigned by management.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum one (1) year of bartending experience required.\nPrevious lead or supervisory experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.\nResponsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required or ability to obtain.\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nExperience operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced event environment.\nStrong guest service and conflict-resolution skills.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nFrequent reaching, bending, twisting, and repetitive motions.\nAbility to work in a high-volume, fast-paced event environment.\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION\nThis is a part-time, event-based position located at Pechanga Arena San Diego.
