Join us to make legends happen!\nPosition Title: Line Cook\nDepartment: Concessions- Culinary\nReports To: Executive Chef\nStatus: Seasonal, Part-Time\nLocation: George Steinbrenner Field, Tampa, FL\nKey Responsibilities\nFollows Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisors assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation.\nPrepare and cook menu items complying with portion size, quality standards, departmental rules, policies, and procedures.\nEnsures that proper food temperatures are maintained.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.\nEnsure proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with health and safety regulations.\nWork collaboratively with the culinary team to support timely and efficient service.\nFollow all company and local food safety & sanitation guidelines.\nAssist with inventory and restocking items as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management.\n Qualifications\nPrevious experience operating a commercial dish machine is preferred. \nApplicants must be at least 18 years of age.\nMust be able to read, speak and write in English.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (culinary training) preferred.\nMinimum of three years working in a fast-paced high-end club, or restaurant.\nProfessional training through culinary education and strong line experience for Ala Carte Service preferred.\nAbility to work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure environment.\nPhysical Demands:\nThis position will require long periods of standing, walking, and navigating stairs/elevators. \nStrong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques, service standards, guest relations and kitchen etiquette.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.\nTeam player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.\nAbility to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards.\nAbility to multitask in a fast paced, team orientated setting. \nThis position works in a loud noise environment. \nMust have the ability to work late hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. \nMust have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.\nNOTE:\nThe essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
