The Maintenance Technician II is an advanced skilled\nposition responsible for inspection, preventive maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of aquatic\nand facility systems.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerform Maintenance Technician I duties at an advanced level of technical competency and independence.\nConduct assigned daily safety inspections and ensure water chemistry is within CDC and local health\ndepartment guidelines.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot complex or recurring failures involving pumps, motors, filtration, chemical\ncontrollers, plumbing, hydraulics, drainage, electrical components, and related facility systems.\nPerform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturers' manuals and\nguidelines.\nIdentify root causes of recurring equipment problems and recommend repair, replacement, or contractor\nsupport.\nRead and interpret manufacturer manuals, technical documentation, diagrams, and equipment specifications.\nPerform assigned electrical troubleshooting and repair within demonstrated training and authorization.\nAssist with development and improvement of preventive maintenance procedures, SOPs, and inspection\npractices.\nProvide technical guidance and hands-on training to Maintenance Technician I and Grounds & Facilities\nstaff as assigned.\nSupport equipment commissioning, seasonal opening, closing, winterization, and major maintenance\nprojects.\nSupport vendor and contractor work and communicate technical conditions to the Foreman or Maintenance\nOperations Manager.\nIdentify required parts, tools, materials, and equipment and communicate inventory needs.\nMaintain detailed maintenance records and Mobaro work orders, including recurring deficiencies and repair\nhistory.\nIdentify deteriorating equipment and infrastructure and report potential repair, replacement, or capital needs.\nPerform specialized grounds or facility work requiring additional technical training or authorization as\nassigned.\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety codes.\nRecognize and respond effectively to emergency situations.\nWork extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications & Skills\nMust be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.\nMust have ability to read measurements and math skills to calculate appropriate chemical dosing.\nCurrent Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification required.\nDemonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in pumps, hydraulics, drainage, pool filtration, pool chemical\ncontrollers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related facility systems.\nAbility to independently diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective action or\nescalation.\nAbility to read technical manuals, diagrams, specifications, and manufacturer documentation.\nAbility to provide technical guidance and training to less experienced employees.\nMaintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, vendors, patrons, and others\nencountered in the course of employment.\nFollow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.\nRemain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.\nMust be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States and have reliable transportation\nand ability to travel between assigned park locations.\nMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\nMinimum Education & Experience\nHigh School diploma or GED and progressive related maintenance experience or training, or equivalent\ncombination of education and experience.\nComputer Skills\nOperate a personal computer using Windows, Microsoft Office & Mobaro as required.\nPhysical Demands\nPhysical requirements include the ability to communicate verbally, walk, climb, kneel, lift, carry, stoop, and\noperate equipment.
