Join us!\nDEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Food & Beverage at Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center\nREPORTS TO: Director of Culinary\nFLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt; Part-time\nCOMPENSATION RANGE: $30 - $35 per hour\nSummary\nThe part-time Food & Beverage Operations Superviso r is responsible for providing high-quality customer service during daily operations, special events, and other assigned functions. This position supports operational excellence, guest satisfaction, accurate transaction processing, inventory control, food safety, and the effective supervision of Food & Beverage employees.\nResponsibilities/Duties\nSupervise Food & Beverage employees in the preparation and service of food and refreshments, as well as opening, closing, and cleanup procedures.\nAssist with the training and development of employees engaged in food preparation, cooking, service, and related Food & Beverage functions to ensure high-quality, efficient, and profitable operations.\nSupervise the storage, preparation, presentation, and service of food and refreshments.\nAssign employees to designated work locations and operational areas based on business needs.\nTabulate receipts, review transactions, and assist with balancing accounts.\nAssist the Director of Culinary with assigned food service locations and other Food & Beverage operations throughout the facility.\nParticipate in planning operational requirements for Food & Beverage sales and service locations.\nEnforce established standards related to service quality, food and beverage products, sanitation, food safety, cash-handling procedures, alcoholic beverage regulations, inventory security, company policies, and applicable rules and regulations.\nCommunicate daily operational and event information to Food & Beverage employees.\nSupervise assigned Food & Beverage locations and maintain accurate inventory records.\nCoordinate requisitions for food, beverage, and operational supplies based on anticipated demand, attendance, and business needs.\nInventory supplies and products on hand at the end of each shift, day, event, or other designated period.\nComplete required operational, inventory, and stand documentation at the conclusion of each shift or event.\nMonitor sales activity and inventory through the point-of-sale (POS) system.\nPrepare, review, and audit daily employee timesheets and submit required documentation to the Director of Culinary.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nSupervise the storage, preparation, presentation, and service of food and refreshments by assigned employees.\nDirectly supervise employees assigned to Food & Beverage operations.\nCarry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends policies, applicable laws, and established operating procedures.\nProvide direction and oversight for approximately 3-35 employees per shift, depending on operational requirements.\nAssist with cleaning, custodial, sanitation, and general operational responsibilities within assigned Food & Beverage areas.\nSupport employee performance, training, accountability, and adherence to established service and safety standards.\nQualifications\nMinimum of two years of supervisory experience in concessions, food service, hospitality, or a related Food & Beverage environment.\nAbility to learn and effectively utilize new software, technology, and operational programs as needed.\nCurrent California Food Handler Certificate.\nCurrent TIPS certification, as required.\nLEAD training through the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, as required.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nDemonstrated ability to supervise employees effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nSkills and Abilities\nMaintain a positive, professional, and guest-service-oriented attitude at all times.\nStrong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.\nAbility to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, policies, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to operate and support all applicable point-of-sale systems and Food & Beverage sales locations.\nMaintain appropriate grooming, uniform, and dress-code standards.\nDemonstrate a strong work ethic with an emphasis on urgency, quality, teamwork, and accountability.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with employees, leadership, and other departments throughout the facility.\nAbility to prioritize, manage, and successfully complete multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced operational environment.\nOther Qualifications\nMust be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, special events, and other hours outside of normal business
