This position ensures a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, clients, employees, and visitors while overseeing parking services, security personnel, emergency preparedness, and event support operations.\nABOUT MESA CONVENTION CENTER\nLocated in downtown Mesa, Arizona, Mesa Convention Center is the largest event venue in the East Valley. The venue features nearly 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space, 26 breakout rooms, 40,000 square feet of outdoor function space, and an outdoor amphitheater with capacity for up to 5,000 guests. From conferences and trade shows to community gatherings, festivals, and live entertainment, Mesa Convention Center provides a versatile setting for memorable events and experiences.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)\nOperations & Event Management\nOversee daily and event-related parking and security operations across all facility properties.\nCoordinate staffing, scheduling, and deployment plans to support facility and event needs.\nCollaborate with Event Management and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest experience.\nConduct routine property inspections to ensure safety, security, functionality, and operational readiness.\nParticipate in pre-event planning and post-event evaluations to continuously improve event operations.\nMaintain positive relationships with clients, artists, exhibitors, patrons, and stakeholders.\nSafety, Security & Emergency Preparedness\nDevelop, implement, and enforce security, safety, and operational policies and procedures.\nMaintain and update the facility Emergency Operations Plan annually.\nInvestigate security incidents, guest complaints, injuries, misconduct allegations, and other operational concerns.\nDocument and follow up on all security, safety, and first aid incidents.\nLead venue safety initiatives and chair the Safety Committee.\nServe as the primary liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and related agencies.\nEnsure facility access control procedures are followed, including securing property and monitoring entrances and exits.\nParking Operations\nOversee parking revenue collection, cash handling procedures, ticket reconciliation, and internal controls.\nMonitor parking facilities to ensure safety, security, traffic flow, and operational efficiency.\nManage parking equipment, inventory, supplies, and preventative maintenance programs.\nCoordinate parking logistics and traffic management plans for events and facility operations.\nHandle guest inquiries, complaints, and service recovery related to parking operations.\nLeadership & Staff Development\nRecruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise parking, security, and event staff.\nLead staff briefings, operational meetings, and safety training sessions.\nFoster a culture of accountability, customer service, teamwork, and safety.\nEnsure all team members understand emergency procedures, operational expectations, and guest service standards.\nWHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.\n3+ years of experience in security, venue operations, parking operations, event management, or related fields.\nPrevious supervisory or management experience required.\nExperience in live entertainment, convention centers, sports venues, arenas, or hospitality environments preferred.\nMilitary or law enforcement experience is a plus.\nValid driver's license required.\nSkills & Abilities\nStrong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to manage multiple operational functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience handling emergency situations, conflict resolution, and incident response.\nStrong financial accountability, including cash handling and revenue oversight.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to build relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.\nProficiency with scheduling, reporting, and operational management systems.\nAbility to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL\nThis role is based on site in Mesa, AZ\nYou may be required to work a non traditional schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays\nAt Legends Global, our people power every success.
