Under direction of the Executive Chef, the Part Time Prep Cook's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with Legend Global policies.\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:\nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nEssential Responsibilities:\n* Ensure meals maintain a high level of quality and are prepared in a consistent and timely manner\n* Supervises storage areas to assist in ordering food and supplies\n* Monitors all leftover foods insuring proper labeling, storage usage\n* In consultation with the supervisor, coordinates production with meal servicing hours to ensure that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved.\n* Carves and apportions food for serving and assists in serving meals\n* Fills special diet orders following menu extension guides\n* Maintains sanitation standards of all food production areas and the cook's refrigerator\n* Clean food preparation area, including utensils used and equipment; wash dishes, take out trash, mop floors\n* Ensure all electrical and gas appliances are turned off before leaving kitchen area and at end of shift\n* Responsible for daily cleaning and weekly deep cleaning of the kitchen areas\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\n* This position requires exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.\n* Functional requirements including constant standing and walking\n* Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning and stretching.\nNOTE: The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
