Requires good customer service skills, positive attitude, knowledge of food service and food preparation.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare recipes as directed; measure ingredients and prepare them in accordance to chef’s specifications.\nWash and peel ingredients in order for them to be used in different meals.\nCut and portion different types of meat according to specifications.\nPrepare different types of food, carefully following the recipes.\nAccept or reject ingredients from food supplier based on their appearance and quality.\nKeep track of ingredient quantities and ensure there are always enough for the day/week/event.\nStore ingredients in dedicated containers, making sure that they are best preserved.\nClean and sanitize the working surfaces, tools, utensils and working area.\nCarefully direct the food temperature and the temperature from cooling rooms to ensure that the ingredients kept are kept at the appropriate temperature.\nMust take direction well.\nMaintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.\nFollow rules and regulations of Legends Global.\nRegular attendance is an essential job function.\nPosition requires the ability to work at all Legends Global venues in Wichita and Andover.\nOther duties as assigned.\nDuties:\nReports to Executive Sous Chef in appropriate uniform, for assigned location.\nFollows all rules and regulations which apply to the Food and Beverage Division.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nPrior catering or kitchen work in food service.\nBasic math.\nAbility to follow directions and effectively perform the work.\nPositive attitude and neat appearance.\nMust speak and understand English.\nAttend all Training both for Food and Beverage department and within the venue.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nPrior work in kitchen, food preparation, preferred.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good attitude required.\nMust be able to work independently with little or no supervision.\nSkills and Abilities:\nStrong knowledge of sanitary practices.\nKnowledge of food storage and temperature.\nAbility to read and follow recipes and directions.\nMaintains proper grooming and dress code standards.\nWork ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment.\nAbility to undertake and complete multiple tasks.\nAttention to detail.\nOther Qualifications:\nRequires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.\nPhysical Demands:\nThis position requires stooping and lifting up to 45 lbs., substantial standing and walking. Hand and finger dexterity to use knife to chop, dice, prep food, and open containers and close containers.
