Join us!\nTHE ROLE\nOur retail supervisors are responsible for creating the ultimate experience. Our number one priority is to provide guests with a legendary experience each time they enter the 1922 Club. We strive to create an environment unlike any other. We go above and beyond to exceed their expectations in customer service, display of merchandise, and attention to detail. If you have a passion for customer service, an outgoing personality, love to sell, enjoy working in teams and strive to create relationships with the guests this is the place for you.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nGreet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations\nExcellent accuracy when using POS systems\nDemonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by Management\nPresent merchandise to increase sale with add on items\nMust be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use\nMaintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts. Assist in inventory\nContinually increase knowledge of product, facility, and all events held on campus\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor\nAssist the store set-up team with the merchandising of event gift shops including plan-o-grams, merchandise placement, inventory control, cleaning of shops & fixtures\nServe as the first and final point of contact for members and guests, providing a warm, polished welcome and farewell.\nVerify membership upon arrival and ensure guests are accompanied by a sponsoring member before entering the main Club level.\nCheck in members and guests for dining reservations and promptly communicate arrivals to the host team on the main floor.\nProvide clear directions and assist with questions regarding Club access, parking, valet service, and other arrival needs.\nMaintain awareness of the entrance and guest flow, keeping the arrival area organized and escalating access or reservation issues to Club management as needed.\nOffer assistance or an escort into the Club when appropriate, helping create a seamless transition from arrival to the dining experience.\nMaintain a professional presence at the entrance and protect member privacy and confidentiality at all times.\nThank members and guests as they depart and provide a warm, genuine farewell.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nHigh school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in comparable company\nAccuracy in open & close procedures\nMust be able to take constructive feedback & make necessary changes\nExcellent customer service and selling skills\nBe willing to work extended hours on event days including OSU home football games\nA key function will be opening or closing a retail store\nAble to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time\nInnovative & self- starter, who can work independently and as part of a team\nAbility to work nontraditional hours, included nights, holidays and weekends and overtime as required\nFlexibility in Duties & responsibilities as needed in other areas\nCompensation\nCompetitive hourly rate.\nWorking Conditions\nLocation: On Site Ohio State University.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
