Join us!\nTHE ROLE\nFishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Steward. This position is responsible for all Stewarding functions across the venue. Duties include cleaning all china, glassware, silver, and serving equipment; facilitating the plate-up and delivery of food for all functions; and the setup and breakdown of all banquet buffets. This role also ensures the cleanliness and organization of all food preparation and service areas, including the main kitchen, concessions kitchen, and back hallways. Additional responsibilities include the pickup and delivery of hot boxes and products from all concession areas for all events, as well as the maintenance of equipment in all pantries, concession areas, and storage locations.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nDelivery of all food to prospective functions.\nDelivery, set-up, and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions.\nPickup and delivery of hot boxes and products from all concession areas for all events.\nMaintenance of equipment in all pantries, concession areas, and storage locations.\nCleanliness in both kitchens.\nRunning and maintenance of the main dish machine.\nPosition is very hands-on with frequent interaction with staff.\nMust be quick with counting and simple arithmetic.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEducation and/or Experience\nAt least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.\nSkills and Abilities\nStrong ability to work with other staff members in the facility.\nResults oriented individual with the ability to meet required timelines.\nAbility to undertake and complete multiple tasks.\nMust adhere to local Food Codes.\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nLocation: Fishers Event Center\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
