By working closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams, our engineers help ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while delivering products that meet the highest customer standards.\nIn This Role:\nAs an Engineering Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to real engineering projects that support cable production and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to analyze production processes, support product and process improvements, and assist with technical problem-solving. This internship is ideal for someone who is curious, analytical, and eager to develop practical engineering skills within a global manufacturing organization.\nSo, what will you be doing as an Engineering Intern?\nAssist engineers with process improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.\nSupport data collection and analysis related to production performance, equipment reliability, and manufacturing processes.\nParticipate in troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of production issues and recommend corrective actions.\nAssist in developing and updating engineering documentation, work instructions, process specifications, and technical reports.\nSupport quality improvement initiatives through inspections, testing, and analysis of manufacturing processes and product performance.\nCollaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams on continuous improvement projects.\nHelp evaluate manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production methods to identify opportunities for optimization.\nParticipate in Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives focused on waste reduction and process standardization.\nSupport engineering teams with project planning, implementation, and performance tracking activities.\nObserve and follow all company safety, environmental, and quality standards.\nOther duties as assigned.\nTo be successful in this role, you'll need:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.\nInterest in manufacturing processes, engineering design, product development, or continuous improvement.\nStrong attention to detail and a willingness to learn in a hands-on production environment.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.\nAbility to work onsite at L&C Changsha Cable Industries Ltd. in Changsha, China.\nThings we consider a plus:\nExposure to manufacturing, production, or industrial environments through coursework, projects, or prior internship experience.\nFamiliarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering design tools.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience working with engineering drawings, technical specifications, or process documentation.\nUnderstanding of quality systems, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools.\nBasic knowledge of ERP or manufacturing management systems.\nExperience using data analysis and visualization tools to support engineering decision-making.\nWhat to Do Next\nNow that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
