If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.\nAs a Production Supervisor you will have the opportunity to ensure the department is operating safely and focused on the mission and goal statements. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by working closely with Safety/Environmental Director, Customer Service, Human Resources, Maintenance Department, Quality, and Master Scheduler to assist department in daily operations. The team you will be working with is collaborative and innovative, and values challenging work and diversity of thought.\nSo, what will you be doing as a Production Supervisor?\nIdentify and stop further processing of non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality systems.\nTake action to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services provided or the ISO 9001:2015 management system.\nMake suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.\nKnow the location of and understand their control plans, work instructions and specifications.\nReports to Building Superintendent and Shift Superintendent\nResponsible for department housekeeping, organization, and scrap removal.\nHelp to create a pleasurable work environment for employees.\nAnalyze machines to determine machine update/overhaul requirements.\nWork hours are M-Th 2:30pm - 11:30pm CST\nWill work closely and have duties in the following areas:\n SAFETY\nInspect working areas of employees throughout department.\nMaintain safe working environment.\nLead Safety Committee in the departments as needed.\nMust know and be responsible for proper procedures for accident reporting, methods, and investigation.\nMust know and be responsible for MSDS, blood borne pathogen, hearing conservation, OSHA standards, environmental and hazardous material programs, and other personnel programs.\nHandle emergency medical situations.\nTotal Productive Manufacturing (TPM)\nQUALITY\nPerform quality checks in the departments.\nEnsure that quality check stations are maintained daily.\nEnsure employees follow all quality programs in the departments.\nEnsure the department maintains ISO 9001:2015 compliance.\n PRODUCTION\nOversee employees and work with other supervisors in the departments.\nEnsure all employees receive proper training, achieve each appropriate training level, and get any tools that they may need to do a good job.\nEnsure people in departments are working at highest efficiency potential.\nMust complete all necessary paperwork as outlined in Intelex (i.e., LPCS, Work Instructions and Server Files) by respective due dates.\nMust have knowledge pertaining to inventory procedures, including RF scanning procedures.\nEnsure that preventive maintenance is performed correctly.\nWork to solve problems in departments.\nMonitor overtime within departments and initiate better methods through working with supervisors and employees.\nComplete special work/sales orders.\nCommunicate with Master Production Scheduler, Shift & Department Superintendents if quantities, methods, and product line are not in order or appear to be incorrect.\nAddress problems utilizing factual data.\nAssist in scheduling overtime.\nMust have working knowledge of equipment and ability to assist maintenance personnel with questions and work situation as needed.\nSchedule and organize product flow in order to meet department and Branch goals.\nTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:\nKnowledge of the manufacturing process used by the company.\nProduct familiarity, including the product structures.\nGood communication skills and the ability to motivate employees.\nAbility to perform job independently.\n1-2 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment\nThings we consider a plus:\nBachelor's Degree\nWhat to Do Next\nNow that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
