In this role, you will provide mechanical engineering expertise, support factory expansion projects, and contribute to the development and implementation of technical standards that ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations across multiple LEGO sites.\nThe position is based in Nyíregyháza, Hungary.\nCore Responsibilities\nLead projects for major factory expansion initiatives on behalf of GWP Engineering in collaboration with colleagues globally.\nLead and support local and global project teams in the design and optimization of new projects and retrofit solutions, primarily at the LEGO factory in Hungary.\nParticipate in projects and collaborate with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and authorities.\nLead the discovery and evaluation of new technologies and innovative solutions for implementation into LEGO standards and future projects.\nDrive knowledge sharing and best practices related to mechanical installations and facility engineering across the organization.\nAudit processes, standards, and policies to ensure compliance and consistent implementation across projects.\nAct as a trusted technical advisor and sparring partner within the mechanical engineering discipline.\nPlay Your Part in Our Team Succeeding\nThe Engineering Design & Sustainability team is part of Global Workplace Projects and is responsible for large-scale construction projects and utility-related investments across the LEGO Group. The team is responsible for technical areas including construction concepts, MEP disciplines, building management systems, and fire safety. We develop, maintain, and continuously improve global standards and apply them in projects worldwide.\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will join a team of more than 30 professionals with diverse engineering backgrounds and expertise. The team supports both operations and projects across LEGO sites globally.\nIn this role, you will contribute to a broad range of factory expansion and construction projects, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, at the right quality level, and with sustainable technical solutions.\nDo You Have What It Takes?\nMust-Have Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent working experience.\nMore than 7 years of experience within mechanical engineering, industrial construction projects, facility engineering, utility infrastructure, or related fields.\nMore than 5 years of experience participating in construction projects as a consultant, contractor, client representative, or similar.\nMore than 5 years of project management experience including responsibility for schedules, timelines, and budgets.\nExperience engaging and managing stakeholders both internally and externally.\nFamiliarity with international practices in mechanical design and engineering solutions.\nSignificant experience with mechanical detailing, industrial design, project detailing, and execution.\nAdvanced English communication skills, both written and verbal (C1).\nNice-to-Have Qualifications\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams or project teams.\nAbility to execute plans successfully and consistently deliver commitments.\nStrong presentation and technical communication skills.\nAbility to prepare high-quality technical and strategic presentations for a global audience.\nStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.\nAnalytical and tactical thinking skills.\nExperience working within a global organization across cultures and countries.\nWillingness to travel approximately 20-50 days per year.\nPersonal Competencies\nProactive and solution-oriented approach.\nStrong analytical mindset.\nAbility to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues.\nAbility to work successfully in a global environment.\nStrong ownership and delivery focus.\nWhat's In It For You?\nBy joining the LEGO Group, you will become part of a global engineering organization supporting some of the company's most significant construction and infrastructure projects.
