We are passionate about empowering developers with the vital resources, tools, and mentorship they need to harness the full potential of technologies.\nAbout the role\nAs our Software Engineer - GenAI, you'll contribute to the GenAI platform that enables engineering teams across the LEGO Group to adopt AI capabilities safely and effectively. You'll work alongside senior engineers and product partners to build platform features, improve developer experience, strengthen reliability and observability, support model and agent enablement capabilities, and help automate engineering workflows. This is a 7-month contract role and a chance to build practical experience at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and platform development.\nRequired Qualifications\nDeveloped capabilities using LLMs, agents, or prompt engineering that supported AI adoption within engineering teams.\nBuilt and maintained cloud-native platform services using APIs, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.\nImproved reliability and observability of production platform services.\nDelivered production-grade applications using modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or similar.\nProven ability to partner with engineering and product teams to shape and deliver platform capabilities that enable faster product development, improve reliability, and create lasting business impact.\nDemonstrated success in simplifying complex platform or operational challenges through automation and practical engineering solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nOptimized LLM-enabled platform services to improve performance and efficiency.\nIntegrated LLM APIs into platform services used by engineering teams.\nBuilt AI-enabled capabilities using OpenAI or Claude APIs.\nWhat you'll build\nPlatform capabilities that enable safe and effective AI adoption across engineering teams.\nFeatures that improve developer experience and simplify how teams work with AI services.\nReliability, monitoring, and observability improvements across AI platform services.\nModel and agent enablement capabilities that support future AI innovation.\nAutomated engineering workflows reduce manual effort and increase platform efficiency.\nIf you've worked in a role where you developed production software, integrated AI capabilities, supported platform services, or contributed to cloud-native engineering environments, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to translate technical challenges into practical solutions and contribute meaningfully to a platform used by other engineers.\nLife on the team\nYou'll join the Digital Technology organization and the GenAI Foundational Execution platform product team. Together, the team provides foundational execution capabilities that support the wider AI portfolio across the LEGO Group. The team works in two-week sprints with a hybrid rhythm of three office days and two remote days. In-person time is used for workshops, sprint ceremonies, architecture discussions, planning, and team connection, while focused delivery work is often completed remotely.\nThe team is based in the new LEGO® Digital Office in Copenhagen soon to move to “Postbyen”, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment - and a little fun play as well!\nWhat success looks like\nYou'll become a recognized contributor to the platform capabilities the team delivers, helping improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across AI services. Looking ahead, the team is focused on further developing and increasing performance across its AI platforms, creating opportunities to deepen your expertise in platform engineering and generative AI.
