About the role

As our Senior Accountant, General Ledger, you’ll manage accurate, timely and compliant accounting processes for the Americas region. During this one-year contract, you’ll support the transition and stabilization of LEGO® Discovery Center operations while strengthening general-ledger processes, controls and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Performed accounting responsibilities for 3-5 years, including booking economic transactions and preparing journal entries.
  • Managed general-ledger processes, including monthly and yearly closing, for at least 2 years.
  • Used SAP or another enterprise accounting system to record and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Prepared account, intercompany or bank reconciliations and translated business transactions into IFRS-compliant journal entries.
  • Used Microsoft Office tools to prepare financial analyses, recurring statements or reports.
  • Worked in English at an advanced level, C1 or above, in both written and spoken settings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Used SAP at an advanced level to execute general-ledger accounting processes.
  • Handled general-ledger accounting for stakeholders across multiple countries or regions.
  • Completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or International Business.

What you’ll build

  • Support the transition and stabilization of accounting operations for LEGO Discovery Centers.
  • Review distribution expenses, cost of goods sold and gross profit margins during monthly and yearly closing.
  • Perform key controls, identify weaknesses and recommend practical improvements.
  • Maintain properly stated legal books through accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Provide financial data and analysis that helps business partners make informed decisions.
  • Improve processes using the LEGO Continuous Improvement approach.

If you’ve worked in a role where you managed general-ledger closing, reconciliations and financial controls, you’ll feel at home here. What matters most is your focus on accuracy, practical improvement and reliable accounting.

Life on the team

You’ll join the General Ledger team within Business Service Operations, working in a hybrid rhythm with three days each week in the office. The team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, ethical judgment and a proactive approach to change. You’ll contribute to an environment where people build trust, share ideas and solve accounting challenges together.

What success looks like

You’ll bring the LEGO Discovery Center transition into stable, compliant accounting operations while maintaining accurate records and dependable controls. You’ll work closely with financial business partners and stakeholders across the LEGO Group, providing the information they need to support sound decisions.
