You'll act as a bridge between Principal Engineers, Lead Engineers, and product teams, translating technical strategy in both directions and connecting strategy with execution. As the first Staff Engineer in the Digital Platforms subdomain, you'll play a key role in shaping how the role works alongside engineering leaders and helping define ways of working across teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nDelivered technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.\nBuilt API management capabilities and standards in complex technology environments.\nLed event streaming and event mesh implementations at scale.\nShaped enterprise integration strategies, including SAP ecosystems.\nApplied Domain-Driven Design principles across product or platform landscapes.\nTranslated technology strategy into practical execution through roadmaps, structured problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration.\nAI-literate and curious about applying AI at scale\nPreferred Qualifications\nExpanded SAP capabilities beyond integration-focused domains.\nExperience modeling enterprise data models including ontology-based approaches.\nDeveloped developer experience or platform engineering capabilities.\nExpertise with policy engines or authorization management in general\nWhat you'll build\nDrive the technical direction for SAP integration and API strategy across product teams.\nConnect engineering strategy with day-to-day delivery and execution.\nShape the role of Staff Engineering within Digital Platforms and the wider engineering community.\nEstablish and evolve SAP integration and API strategies to support AI and agentic capabilities.\nAlign integration approaches with the data platform strategy.\nDefine how enterprise data models and APIs work together across the landscape.\nIf you've worked in a role where you've guided technical direction across multiple teams while influencing standards and engineering practices, you'll feel at home here. Guidance should be aligned with our strategies for Data, Enterprise Data Model, and AI / Agentic. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll help navigate the impact of ERP transformation to S/4HANA while shaping the future integration landscape.
