This is the place.\nAbout the role\nThe Statutory Reporting & Compliance Manager sits within the accounting function and owns statutory reporting and regulatory compliance for the group's legal entities. You will be responsible for the local accounts of assigned entities and the full calendar of statutory and regulatory deliverables. As we enter new markets, you will assess and stand up the local reporting, registration, and compliance requirements from scratch.\nYou set the standard for how statutory work is done at Legora - the processes, controls, and documentation - and you are the central point of contact for advisors and local authorities. It is a role for someone who likes structure, deadlines, and being the person who knows exactly what is due, where, and why.\nWhat you'll do\nStatutory accounts & local books\nCoordinate preparation of statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities under local legislation and requirements (e.g., Swedish K3, UK FRS 102, German HGB, French PCG)\n\nPrepare and file annual reports, supplemental statements, and required exhibits with local authorities\n\nOwn the completeness and accuracy of local books and accounting records, including statutory adjustments, and keep account balances reconciled and substantiated\n\nRegulatory compliance & market expansion\nOwn the group compliance calendar: statutory deliverables, statistical reporting, and other government filings across all entities\n\nMonitor legislative and regulatory changes in our jurisdictions, assess their impact, and implement the accounting process and control changes they require\n\nAssess statutory, registration, and reporting requirements for new markets ahead of expansion, and stand up compliant local processes\n\nCoordinate with local advisors and consultants on preparation and filing of statutory documents\n\nControls, audit & documentation\nAct as the primary contact for local authorities on audits, new legislation, and ad-hoc requests\n\nDevelop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures appropriate for our stage, and ensure they are consistently followed\n\nWhat we're looking for\n7+ years of experience in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting, with demonstrated ownership of entity-level statutory deliverables end to end\n\nExperience managing statutory compliance across multiple countries, directly or through local advisors\n\nStrong knowledge of statutory reporting in at least one of our jurisdictions (Swedish K3 given our HQ, but we value depth in any of the countries in scope)\n\nTrack record of working directly with external advisors, and local authorities\n\nExperience implementing or improving accounting processes and internal controls\n\nHighly organized and deadline-driven - you run a compliance calendar, not the other way around\n\nClear written communication: you can turn a legislative change or technical question into guidance the rest of the team can follow\n\nNice to have\nExperience in a multi-entity international group spanning Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific\n\nFamiliarity with statutory frameworks in several of our jurisdictions (e.g., UK FRS 102, German HGB, French PCG, Italian OIC, Spanish PGC, Indian Companies Act reporting, or Australian requirements)\n\nQualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent\n\nExperience standing up statutory compliance in a new market or jurisdiction\n\nSaaS/software industry experience\n\nExperience using AI tools in finance workflows\n\nLegora is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt Legora, we believe great teams are built on diversity of thought and experience.
