This role balances cost efficiency, inventory optimization, and supplier performance while supporting overall business objectives. The role is remote and part of the company’s Electrical Infrastructure division’s Supply Chain Team. The position reports to the Director of SIOP, Analytics, and PFR Purchasing.\n What Will You Do?\nPurchase finished goods/components from approved suppliers. Develop and maintain purchase orders based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and lead times. Maintain accurate purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies. Coordinate with warehouses, customer service representatives and supply chain team to ensure timely material availability.\nMonitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock and avoid shortages, help reconcile discrepancies with warehouses.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure responsiveness, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.\nAddress supplier performance issues and work with Electrical Infrastructure Sourcing Team and supplier quality to implement corrective actions when necessary.\nAnalyze purchasing trends, lead times, and cost variances to identify improvement opportunities.\nPrepare reports on procurement status, inventory health, and planning metrics for regular review with product managers.\nOther duties as assigned\nEducation\nBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, business, or related field (or equivalent)\nMinimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles.\nSkills/Knowledge/Abilities\nDemonstrated ability to in a manufacturing environment\nStrong knowledge and experience in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office tools including Teams, Outlook and Excel\nStrong collaboration skills and demonstrated success managing in a matrixed organization\nAbility to work in a fast-paced organization and balance multiple priorities\nFamiliar with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work within teams\nHaving APICS certification and/or training is a plus.\nNote: The above Job Description is representative of the responsibilities and qualifications necessary to be successful in this role.
