This position is based in the Warsaw location, but works closely with employees in other locations. This position also requires close working relationships with our vendors to create partnerships that will benefit both parties.\n What Will You Do?\nReview and authorize overall material procurement, warehousing and distributing of raw materials, goods-in-process, and finished goods; and controlling and scheduling of material flow.\nEnsure the processing of changed orders and appropriate communications with vendors regarding material and quantity requirement revisions, rate adjustments and incorrect materials\nPlace purchase orders to support manufacturing and engineering requirements\nUpdate pricing in system to ensure that all accounting records are correct\nResolve quality issues with suppliers\nReview MRP exception messages, purchase requisitions, shortage reports, and past-due purchase orders; take timely action to maintain material availability.\nPlan future requirements of raw materials based on forecasts\nMaintain accurate purchasing and planning master data within the ERP system\nIdentify and implement cost reduction opportunities\nAssist in qualifying new vendors\nMonitor supplier confirmations and expedite, defer, reschedule, or cancel purchase orders based on changing production and inventory requirements\nIdentify material shortages and supplier risks; communicate potential production impacts, recovery plans, and escalation needs\nWork closely with Leadership to gain work direction and to obtain assistance in escalated problem resolution\nRecommend and assist in development of purchasing-related processes and procedures\nCoordinate with other departments to determine materials needed and schedules to be met; communicate commitment concerns to Leadership\nResponsible for purchase order files, invoices and related purchasing records\nConsistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting noncompliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations\nUnderstand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace.
