Plan, lead and control the equipment for all manufacturing support operations at the facility.\n Key Responsibilities:\nEnsure a safe work environment for all employees through implementation and maintenance of company directed safety programs, compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, and promotion of a strong safety culture.\nBuild and maintain an effective Preventative Maintenance program, using the CMMS tool, with the goal of minimizing unplanned downtime. This includes working with plant operations team to ensure equipment will be available to perform planned preventative maintenance.\nEnsure adequate resources, properly trained, are available to complete both preventative and re-active maintenance activities.\nMaintain the CMMS schedule ensuring all preventative maintenance requirements are loaded and all preventative and re-active maintenance activities and scheduled, documented, and closed in the system.\nOversee the maintenance team.\nManages the preventive maintenance program for the facility.\nImplement effective systems of control for labor, overtime, capital, and operating expenditures spending. Manage capital asset maintenance.\nOversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, and facility renovations.\nEliminate waste throughout the manufacturing operations through implementation of Lean tools and processes, driving a continuous improvement culture, and promoting employee engagement at all levels of the plant.\nMaintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.\nProvide leadership, training and development for direct staff to accomplish operational goals and objectives.\nOversees the cleaning and maintenance of the facility.\nAdminister plant policies in a firm, fair and consistent manner.\nConduct regular meetings with all employees to ensure good, team work and cooperation throughout the manufacturing operation and between facilities and functions.\nPerforms other similar and related duties as required.\nQualifications:\nMinimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing operations, or related field is required.\nMinimum of 7 years varied manufacturing experience including direct supervision of hourly and salaried employees.\nMust have a thorough knowledge of appropriate manufacturing methods, processes and equipment.\nBackground with process improvement programs and quality initiatives required.\nMust have demonstrated experience in applying Lean tools and practices and driving a strong Lean / Continuous improvement culture.\nMust have in-depth training and knowledge of successful preventive maintenance programs.\nProven track record of delivering results against stretch objectives is required.\nRequires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.\nA basic understanding of financial concepts is required. This includes: P&L Statements, Working Capital, Cash Flow, and manufacturing variances.\nStrong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.\nMust be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and have excellent verbal and written communications skills\nMust have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others.
