You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory levels to meet production schedules while minimizing costs and mitigating material shortages across all manufacturing sites.\n Key Responsibilities\n1. Procurement & PO Management\nManage procurement from PR to PO and PO closure.\nEnsure timely PO creation and release based on MRP, production plan, consumption, MSL and lead time.\nMonitor open POs, pending quantities and supplier commitments.\nFollow up with suppliers and resolve delivery or quantity issues.\nEnsure materials are available on time to support production.\n2. Inventory & Material Planning\nMaintain optimum inventory across all plants.\nEnsure MSL and replenishment levels are maintained.\nMonitor material consumption, demand, stock and open POs.\nIdentify potential shortages, excess stock and slow-moving materials.\nUse inter-plant stock transfer wherever possible before making fresh purchases.\nImprove inventory turnover and reduce working capital.\n3. Supplier Management\nMonitor supplier delivery, quality, MOQ and lead time.\nConduct regular supplier performance reviews.\nWork with suppliers to:Reduce lead time\nReduce MOQ\nImprove delivery reliability\nSupport smaller and more frequent deliveries\n\nTake corrective action for delayed or poor-performing suppliers.\n4. KANBAN, Pull Flow & Lean Supply\nIdentify suitable fast-moving materials for KANBAN / Pull System.\nImplement consumption-based replenishment with suppliers and stores.\nDefine appropriate KANBAN quantities and replenishment frequency.\nSupport Heijunka / level loading to smoothen material requirements.\nReduce excess inventory, shortages and unnecessary material movement.\n5. Excess & Slow-Moving Inventory\nRegularly review ageing, excess and obsolete inventory.\nPrepare action plans for reducing old stock through:Production consumption\nInter-plant transfer\nAlternate usage\nSupplier return\nOther liquidation methods\n\nSet reduction targets and track progress.\n6. SAP, MIS & Performance Monitoring\nEnsure effective use of SAP MM/PP for procurement and material planning.\nMaintain accurate MRP, lead-time, lot-size and replenishment parameters.\nDevelop and monitor dashboards/reports for:Inventory\nMSL adherence\nShortages\nOpen PO ageing\nSupplier OTD\nExcess inventory\nLead-time and MOQ\nCritical material availability\n\nPresent key issues and action plans to management.\n7.
