Your work connects multiple teams and directly impacts our ability to deliver on our commitments.\nMission Statement:\nLegrand is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team in Reno,\nNevada. In this role, you will develop and manage production schedules, coordinate with manufacturing\nand purchasing teams, and help ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time.\nIf you enjoy solving problems, working cross-functionally, and improving processes in a fast-paced\nmanufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.\n What Will You Do?\nProduction Planning & Scheduling\n· Create and release work orders based on MRP demand, customer orders, and forecast requirements.\n· Provide accurate ship date information and scheduling feedback to Sales and Customer Service teams.\n· Develop work orders for production, SKU conversions, and rework activities.\n· Monitor production order progress and adjust schedules as needed to support delivery commitments.\n· Expedite critical orders across the supply chain.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n· Partner with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Engineering, and Finance teams to\nensure schedule alignment.\n· Participate in daily production planning meetings and communicate priorities clearly.\n· Maintain communication regarding customer demand, open opportunities, and production constraints.\n· Support S&OP discussions through planning updates and insights.\nContinuous Improvement & Operational Support\n· Identify and support process improvements related to planning, inventory management, and customer\nservice.\n· Assist with new product launches and planning requirements.\n· Support cost-reduction initiatives and operational efficiency efforts.\n· Develop and maintain planning bills of material.\n· Participate in internal and external audits.\n· Contribute to a safe, organized, and collaborative work environment.\n· Participate in departmental cross-training and additional projects as assigned.\n Education:\n· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of\neducation and experience.\nExperience:\n· Minimum of 3 years of related supply chain experience, preferably in production planning or scheduling\nwithin a manufacturing environment.\nPosition Requirements:\n· Knowledge of Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP).\n· Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.\n· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\n· Experience working with ERP materials management and production planning systems.\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\n· Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n· Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.\n· Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and audit processes.\nNote: The above Job Description is representative of the responsibilities and qualifications necessary to\nbe successful in this role.
