This individual will be responsible for direct supervision of all production operations in assigned departments, cells or areas, including planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\n Responsible for maintaining uninterrupted production flow or high-quality products in the most economical way within the manufacturing limits.\nFairly administer company rules and policies and adhere to Union contract provisions.\nRegularly educate employees in safe working processes, environmental compliance issues, personal health and safety issues, and general housekeeping conditions.\nProvide leadership for quality within the group. Is accountable for the total quality environment.\nPromote cross training and continuous improvement for all employees to:Provide a greater depth of knowledge per average employee.\nCreate more flexibility on all levels of the manufacturing process.\nEnsure existence and use of safety devices and equipment.\n\nAccountable for meeting production plan, and in doing so, plan and control the efficient use of manpower, machines, and other resources to meet and continuously improve upon established standards.Schedule Attainment.\nLabor Variance.\nScrap.\nInventory Accuracy.\nFinancial Budget.\n\nAssure equipment and tooling is routinely and preventatively maintained.\nAssure a clean and safe working environment.\nPerforms other similar and related duties as required.\n Education:\nA.S. degree in business, technical or related, BS preferred, or equivalent education and experience.\nExperience:\nMinimum five years in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of two years effectively leading others.\nSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:\nMust have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others. Provide guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.\nRequires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment is a must.\nIndependent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload.\nBasic computer skills, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software.\nMust be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
