The Sr. Applications Engineer provides high-level engineering expertise, project management, and commercial support for the application of Starline high amperage busduct products across customer projects. This role leads technical strategy, mentors junior engineers, and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. The engineer is responsible for drafting product offers, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\n What Will You Do?\nMaintain expert-level knowledge of Starline products and their applications.\nDesign system layouts for busduct systems using site surveys, customer drawings, project tenders, and field input.\nUtilize AutoCAD (mechanical and electrical) for layout and design tasks.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including catalog sheets, FAQs, technical briefs, reports, and installation instructions.\nProvide technical and commercial support to sales teams and customers-onsite or remotely-on topics such as product estimation, RFQ support, ratings, regulatory compliance, safety, customization, troubleshooting, installation, and pricing.\nLead technical strategy to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives.\nDrive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and documentation standards.\nParticipate in customer meetings and deliver presentations on product solutions and project updates.\nDraft technical offers for busduct products, verifying application requirements based on customer needs and installation layouts.\nConfirm technical specifications including operating temperature, power, installation parameters, materials, and quantities.\nSupport project management throughout the entire sales cycle.\nMentor junior engineers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing. \nConduct onsite measurements, troubleshooting, and rework as needed.\nServe as a technical liaison to the sales team.\nDeliver training on busduct products to the sales network, customers, and installation contractors.\nSupport the Service Group by assisting with project management during installations. \n Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering (Electrical preferred), or 3+ years of relevant experience.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.\nExperience with busbar/busduct systems required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and technical writing.\nAbility to travel up to 25%, primarily within Europe with potential for international travel.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nStrong aptitude for electrical product design and application in power distribution and busduct systems.\nFamiliarity with UL standards and certifications.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.\nCustomer-focused, dependable, and solutions-oriented.\nSelf-reliant, adaptable, and resourceful in dynamic environments.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:\nOccasional exposure to manufacturing and construction environments;
