As a member of the Test Engineering team, the Test Technician position will support daily production testing of electromechanical assemblies and the implementation of automated manufacturing technologies through software and hardware systems construction, validation, data collection, operator training, technical support and maintenance.\n Maintain, upgrade, repair and troubleshoot production test systems and automated manufacturing technologies (software and hardware).\nValidate functionality of software and hardware systems prior to deployment or following updates.\nUpdate LabVIEW application source code under direction and guidance of Test Engineers\nDevelop training materials and guidance, and provide training support as needed, both internally (all Starline sites) and externally (all global contract manufacturers).\nProvide on-demand technical support through the Production Technology Help DeskRespond to and troubleshoot all issues\nEscalate issues to engineers, as necessary\nEnsure all issues are addressed and closed\n\nMaintain test equipment inventoryMaintain test equipment inventory logs\nPrepare ready-to-deploy spares for critical components\nEnsure that the equipment requiring calibration remains current\nHandle RMAs for equipment requiring repair\n\nCreate technical documentation such as drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, installation instructions and work instructions.\nProvide general IT troubleshooting and support for test equipment, printers, computers, and other company devices used in the manufacturing processes at Contract Manufacturers and Starline locations.\nAdhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices.\nAssembly of test stations, fixtures, probes and other Starline equipment.\nAssist Test Engineers, as needed.\nOversee and support outfitting new assembly lines with required test equipment, both internally and externally, on a global scale.\nInvestigate and correct production test issues that are not identified by the test systems.\nIdentify opportunities for new technologies and improvements.\nOther duties as assigned by management.\nFlexible scheduling to support global operations, as necessary.\n Education:\nTwo-year technical degree, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.\nMinimum 2 years in electrical/electronic testing or other relevant experience.\nUnderstanding of high-voltage electrical safety practices.\nWorking knowledge of international test standards as they apply to Starline products (UL/NEC/IEC/CE/CCC).\nAbility to develop and read technical assembly drawings, schematics and assembly instructions.\nProficient use of hand tools and power tools.\nProficient knowledge of network and computing equipment.\nSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:\nAbility to interface with frontline production team members in a professional manner in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\nAbility to interface and integrate with cross-functional teams as part of Operational and Engineering projects and processes.\nKnowledge of safety standards and the ability to integrate them into processes and test system design.\nWorking knowledge of IT troubleshooting tools and practices.\nAbility to create technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and operating instructions/manuals.\nBasic understanding of LabVIEW-based software applications.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in relation to software development and electronics testing.\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:\nPrimary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.\nThe performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain tasks require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection. \nRegularly required to stand;
