In this role, you will develop, implement, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes required to meet the needs of the operation for both existing and new products. You will assure processes support organizational goals for safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production lines run efficiently and effectively to satisfy our customers.\n What Will You Do?\nDevelop, optimize, and implement manufacturing methods and processes (e.g., line balancing, assembly flows, process flows).\nImprove manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.\nAssure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; and confirming manufacturing processes.\nEvaluate manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment; soliciting observations from operators; and conferring with equipment vendors.\nReview new product designs to identify design for manufacturability (DFM) issues and opportunities; support new product introduction initiatives.\nDevelop tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes and assembly operations.\nMonitor and troubleshoot production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.\nPrepare process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.\nCreate and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including process flows, ECOs, and work instructions.\nProvide technical assistance and training to maintenance, operations, and assembly personnel.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.\nMaintain product and company reputation by complying with safety, health, and environmental regulations.\nPerform other related duties as assigned. \n Education\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExperience\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing engineering, drafting, or related engineering capacity.\nExperience with CAD software (2D/3D) preferred.\nExperience troubleshooting rolling mills preferred.\nExperience with automation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and new product introduction processes preferred.\nSkills / Knowledge / Abilities\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and tool design.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment, quality assurance techniques, and lean manufacturing concepts.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nEffective project management and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems preferred.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and train others on processes and procedures.\nCommitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3391,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":1,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Audio Visual","Lighting","Waste Management"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T09:33:42Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":1,"expected_fill_days":12,"reasons":["conf:1","win:early","comp:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/legrand-north-america-manufacturing-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/legrand-north-america-manufacturing-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T17:57:30Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
