The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of all logistics operations in assigned department(s), flow line(s), cell(s) or area(s), and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures customers requested shipping delivery dates are met on time.\n2nd Shift hours: Monday thru Friday from 3:00 PM CDT - 11:00 PM CDT.\n Determines staffing requirements based on the order volume. Handles scheduling shift coverage.\nCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.\nEstablishes and maintains employee performance standards. Provides ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations, per company guidelines. \nProvide leadership for quality within the group. \nPromote cross training and continuous improvement for all employees to: Provide a greater depth of knowledge.\nCreate more flexibility on all levels of the logistics process. \n\nAccountable for meeting logistics plan, and in doing so, plan and control the efficient use of manpower, machines and other resources to meet and continuously improve upon established standards.Schedule Attainment\nLabor Variance\nScrap\nInventory Accuracy\n\nAssure a clean and safe working environment.\nProvide new hire safety training and awareness as necessary\nPerforms other similar and related duties as required.\n Education:\nBS preferred, or equivalent education and experience.\nExperience:\nMinimum two years in a manufacturing environment and effectively leading others.\nSkills/Knowledge/Abilities:\nMust have strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise others. Provide guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.\nRequires strong organizational and time management skills and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment is a must. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload.\nBasic computer skills, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software.\nMust be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
