This role is responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable, audit support, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and a commitment to continuous process improvement.\nJob Duties\n· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting\n· Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger\n· Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies\n· Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide supporting explanations and recommendations\n· Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and customer transactions\n· Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules in accordance with company policies and accounting standards\n· Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting requirements\n· Support external audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor requests\n· Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and established accounting procedures\n· Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and reporting efficiencies\n· Participate in special projects, system implementations, and acquisition integration activities\n· Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and business leaders to support organizational objectives\n· Effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail\n· Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to meeting critical deadlines, including occasional extended hours when business needs require\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited university in business, accounting, finance, or related field of study\n2+ years of accounting/finance related experience \nStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting \nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s and other formulas)\nExperience using Business Central and other accounting systems - a plus \nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills \nStrong attention to detail and accuracy \nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines \nPreferred\n· Manufacturing, automotive, fleet, or multi-location business experience\n· CPA designation or CPA candidate\n· Experience with acquisitions or consolidations\n· Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs\nCompensation and Benefits\n· $60k-$65k, based on experience\n· Full-Time - non-exempt\n· Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision)\n· 401(k) + Paid Time Off + Holidays\n· Ongoing training, and support\nSchedule\nMonday-Friday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, some overtime may be required\nPossible hybrid schedule to be considered\nLocation\n631 N Market Blvd., Suite N Sacramento, CA 95834\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
