Begin your journey of a flourishing and meaningful career, share your resume with us today!\nPosition summary\nLeads assigned shipboard alteration installation work packages and installation personnel, from kitting through RMMCO closeout. Directs production planning, POA&M execution, WAF/tag-out coordination, customer and subcontractor interfaces, quality assurance, reporting, and timely completion of installation milestones.\nEssential responsibilities\nServe as installation subject matter expert; plan future installations, establish work priorities, assign qualified personnel, coordinate work packages, and ensure task completion on schedule.\nDevelop, maintain, and update the installation POA&M, including critical paths, milestones, labor and material resources, schedule risks, and corrective actions; use Microsoft Project or approved scheduling tools as required.\nCoordinate installation access, milestones, conflicts, and requirements with the OSIC, Ship’s Force, customer, prime contractor, and other AITs.\nOversee SID validation, engineering redlines, technical documentation, material readiness, installation kitting, and work-package execution.\nEnsure QA workbook completeness; coordinate V-, I-, and G-level inspections, discrepancy closure, EC orders, and installation closeout reports.\nCoordinate WAF/TUMS/tag-outs, power installation, system test readiness, turnover, and RMMCO/9090-310 closeout requirements.\nConduct production meetings and submit accurate daily, weekly, and formal email reports covering installation status, milestones, personnel, subcontractors, quality, safety, and corrective actions.\nLead technical training, mentor deck-plate leads, and oversee assigned subcontractor production, logistics, documentation, safety, and environmental compliance; provide timely feedback to the Project Engineer and installation leadership.\nRequired skills and qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of direct field installation experience.\nAdvanced expertise in cable cutting, preparation, and installation; extensive hands-on cable and cableway installation experience; proficiency in cable routing, connectorization, and installation documentation.\nDemonstrated ability to plan and oversee installation activities, lead installation personnel and subcontractors, interpret electrical installation and redline drawings, manage WAF/tag-out requirements, track POA&M milestones, support RMMCO 9090-310 completion, and prepare comprehensive formal reports.\nThorough understanding of safety lockout/tag-out programs.\nExperience updating POA&Ms using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools.\nValid Driver’s license\nValid Passport\nOSHA 10\nMust possess an active Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as a condition of employment.\nWorking conditions and compliance\nShipboard assignments may require ladder climbing, work in restricted spaces, material handling up to 50 lbs., and work at naval or commercial shipyards.\n Follow approved drawings, NAVSEA Standard Items, applicable shipyard and program safety rules, and required security-clearance conditions\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
