The role primarily focuses on business analysis, requirements management, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery, with backend SQL and data-support responsibilities.\n**This position REQUIRES the candidate to be in Ashburn, VA, twice a week**\nKey Responsibilities:\nGather, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, technical, data, and testing requirements.\nWork with product owners, stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams to create and refine Jira epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\nFacilitate stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and backlog grooming sessions.\nSupport Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, BDD, and ATDD practices.\nDevelop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database solutions in PostgreSQL and Oracle.\nPerform data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to support mission-critical systems.\nSupport data integration, ETL, data migration, and database documentation activities.\nAssist with testing, defect analysis, and production issue resolution as needed.\nWork independently and adapt to changing customer priorities and mission needs.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; OR 7 years of experience in lieu of degree\n5+ years of experience supporting Agile software-development efforts.\n5+ years of experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs in Jira.\n5+ years of SQL development experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle.\nExperience with SQL performance tuning, database design, normalization, indexing, ETL, and data integration.\nExperience working with AI/ML as an integral part of executing the software lifecycle and/or implementing AI/ML solutions to support mission\nMust be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start\nMust be a US citizen\nExperience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating workshops.\nStrong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.\nExperience supporting mission-critical production systems and data-security requirements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nActive CBP Background Investigation.\nExperience supporting CBP, DHS, PSPD, or other federal programs.\nExperience with AWS RDS, Azure SQL, DevOps, Java, web services, IBM MQ, or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.\nExperience with manual testing, automated testing, or Scrum Master support.\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
