This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience assisting the Integrated Defensive Cyber System mission. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and developing cloud environments supporting multiple capabilities.\nThis position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nManage and lead the cloud engineering team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of multiple cloud environments.\nManage cloud resources, including budgeting and cloud space procurement.\nAssign tasks, manage workloads, and provide performance execution leadership and guidance.\nApply experience architecting, developing, and re-engineering applications to leverage benefits of cloud capabilities of elasticity, horizontal scalability, automation, and high availability\nLead the design of cloud solutions and integration of tools and services for all areas of cloud computing including compute, storage, and networking\nEnsure designs are compatible with the target cloud environments and allocated requirements\nCollaborate with customer and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate into effective cloud patterns; present solution options and drive decisions on the way ahead to meet customer needs\nEstablish and maintain relationships with Leidos partners, key vendors, and within Leidos to seek, qualify and leverage the best ideas, solutions, and models to meet customer needs\nAddress user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.\nPerform functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, requirements allocation, and interfaced definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications\nSummarize and communicate technical results\nSupport the development, documentation, and execution of system policies\nUnderstand all applicable performance standards and ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded\nWorks to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches\nRequires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 12+ years in software development, system engineering or related field or master’s with 10+ years. Additional years of related experience, training, and/or certifications accepted in lieu of a degree\n7+ years technical application architecture experience including architecting, designing, and programming applications to operate in a commercial cloud (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI) environment\nExperienced in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Software as a service (SaaS) Cloud Hosting Architecture /Design patterns to meet scalability, capacity, availability, performance, storage, cost, and application/platform requirements\nExperience with Cloud technologies including public, private and hybrid cloud solutions\nExperience in design, development, and deployment of application software\nExperience migrating applications to the Cloud at scale\nKnowledge of Agile and processes and techniques and SDLC\nExperience with Develops practices including IaC, CI/CD pipeline, and automated deployment\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with IdAM solutions in the Cloud\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect certification, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert\nSecurity+ Certification\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
