This role ensures accurate configuration identification and control by reviewing design release documentation for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization. Responsibilities may include coordinating change management activities, maintaining configuration records, and preparing deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be fully met. The position works closely with engineering, program management, quality, and customer stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual and organizational requirements.\nThis role leads select operations within the configuration management area and has a significant impact on program and operational results. Responsibilities include resolving complex or unclear configuration issues, analyzing impacts across multiple areas, and supporting continuous process improvement efforts. The Configuration Management Support professional is also expected to assist in training and guiding junior support staff while applying prior experience, analytical skills, and attention to detail to ensure effective configuration control and program success.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport configuration and change management by routing problem reports, reviewing change requests and document prep\nSupport Configuration Management operations to control, identify, record, and report IT components, versions, constituent components, states, and relationships.\nAssist in maintaining various environments for supporting the System software lifecycle across the full DevSecOps process.\nAssist with all Hardware and Software artifacts that are part of the System including source code, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), software executables, and commercial and open-source product software.\nReview and release various configuration items, including documents and drawings\nVerifies conformance to specifications, drawings, interface control documents, as defined with the program’s configuration management\nAbility to assist in the use of configuration management tools to store, track and manage configuration items\nSupport engineering review boards and configuration control boards\nAssist in documenting and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.\nEnsuring compliance with contractual requirements and applicable government standards, including:Correct markings\nSecurity labels\nDistribution statements\n\nMay be required to support configuration management and release of Contract Deliveries to the customer.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of prior relevant experience.\nDemonstrated configuration management experience supporting or managing complex, multidisciplinary programs.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nExperience supporting configuration management processes in enterprise IT environments.\nExperience with software development and integration, particularly in a DoD environment.\nExperience with software testing tools, processes, and procedures.\nActive DoD SECRET clearance\nStrong Working Knowledge of SharePoint or other Document Management and Collaboration Tools\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices. Experience supporting complex defense contracts specifically with the Air Force\nExperience using / supporting source control systems (e.g., Git-based platforms) and artifact repositories.\nExperience maintaining configuration baselines and supporting change control boards.\nExperience integrating configuration management into DevSecOps.\nExperience supporting configuration audits and traceability requirements.\nExperience with configuration management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.\nAMSOPP1\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
